McKean Senior Center is establishing a multi-tiered aged care center where ageing in place is possible. This is a modern concept of providing for the varying degrees of care older people need within the same facility, where residents can maintain contact with friends and staff and doctors they know, even when they need to change from low to high-care. It is especially good for couples whose ageing processes may differ, but here they can receive the different levels of help they need in the same center.

At Dok Kaew Gardens all rooms provide:
- Private furnished room + bathroom
- Air con, TV, WiFi, small fridge
- Laundry and housekeeping
- Three meals in central dining
- Choice of Thai or Western food
- Call light system for emergencies
- Medication management
- Nurses on call
- Fully wheelchair accessible
- Weekly shopping/ options of activities
- Hair-cutting services
- Quiet green and safe venue for walking
- Access to McKean physical and occupational therapy
We offer two levels of care:
Semi-independent care in the Lotus and Orchid wings
- For residents who can do their own personal care
- Able to ambulate or wheel themselves to the dining room
- Know how to use the call light system for emergencies
High care in the Jasmine wing
- For residents who need more assistance with any or all activities of daily living
- Mobility impaired
- Memory care or dementia
- Caregiving support 24 hours
Short-term stays
Short-term stays can be arranged at either level of care
- Recovery from surgery or illness
- Palliative and Hospice care
- Short-term care for seniors, allowing their caregivers necessary time off
